Join us for a tutorial class on the fundamentals of craft cocktail bartending techniques and exercises to elevate your bartender skills. You will learn techniques geared towards cultivated nuance and depth in classic cocktails, with an emphasis on using ice as an ingredient and tool. Learn the basics of proper tool use, which tools to use for which cocktails, when to shake or stir, measuring and pouring techniques to highlight a few.
To start the evening, we will welcome you with our own Bluecoat punch and offer a selection of appetizers. Along the way, you will be sipping on the three cocktails that Canyon will be demonstrating on how to make it at home. The Gimlet (Bluecoat American Dry Gin, fresh pressed lime), Clover Club (Bluecoat American Dry Gin, raspberry, lemon, egg white), and Ninth Street (Bluecoat Barrel Finished Gin, espresso Fernet, sweet vermouth, bitter aperitif), an original cocktail created at the distillery from Canyon Shayer.
$65 includes appetizers, punch cocktail, and sampling of the demonstration cocktails.
