PHILADELPHIA DISTILLING NAMED NIGHTCLUB & BAR MAGAZINE’S DISTILLERY BAR OF 2019
Philadelphia Distilling, known for producing the award-winning Bluecoat American Dry Gin, was named the nation’s Distillery Bar of the Year by Nightclub & Bar Magazine, the bar world’s leading trade publication. The Nightclub & Bar Awards recognizes an elite class of industry trailblazers and venues from across the nation that have shown expertise and innovation in evolving the nightclub and bar industry.
In February 2017, Philadelphia Distilling celebrated its first decade by expanding and relocating to a new location in the Fishtown neighborhood of Philadelphia. The 15,000 square-foot warehouse space is anchored by a full-service cocktail bar that overlooks the hand-hammered Forsythe copper stills and Bluecoat American Dry Gin production. Locals and visitors to the city of Brotherly Love can slide up to the marble bar to experience the traceable evolution of the house spirits in their glass. Signature cocktails pay homage to Philly landmarks such as the Penn’s Woods, which contains Bluecoat American Dry Gin and seltzer infused with dill, basil, and cilantro, while classics like a Negroni with Bluecoat Barrel Finished Gin are crowd pleasers. In addition, the United We Create section of the menu features collaborations with other bars and rotating gin and tonic combinations for customers to experiment.
